New to Face Painting?

Where to even begin?

Everyone has to start somewhere. The number of paints or brushes you have doesn't dictate how good you will be. So just start your new hobby or career with what you can afford and build it up over time.

What should I buy first?

A great starting point is to purchase some palettes. These contain smaller-sized paints of several colours. If the palette doesn't include black and white, you will need these as well.

Next, you will want a #2, #3, or #4 round brush.

And lastly, a couple of face painting sponges. The petal shape is my favorite as it's great for butterflies or to apply paint to small faces.

Youtube has some great tutorials to get you started. Practice makes perfect.
